🐝🐝🌼🌸 World Bee Day 🌸🌼🐝🐝There are 20,000 different species of bee around the world. They live in a hive that can contain as many as 50,000 bees and each tiny bee pollinates between 50 to 100 flowers each time they leave the hive - That's a lot of pollinating.Funky Fact: Bees have 5 eyes and 6 legs!Across Europe, bees and other insects pollinate 80% of all plant species but, despite being so important, are in worldwide decline. In the UK alone, we have lost 13 species and another 35 species are under threat. So don't mow the lawn this May, keep the strimmer in the shed, leave the daisies and the dandelions to flourish and sit and watch bees do the amazing job that they do.Somerset Council #WorldBeeDay #bumblebeeconservation ...
