In response to anti-social and criminal activities especially in car parks at Ham Hill, the Friends supported a plan to install CCTV with a camera on top of the Ranger Station.

A bid to the Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner was successful. Match funding for the project was also obtained from Ham & Doulting Stone, Prince of Wales PH, SSDC, and Stoke Sub Hamdon, Montacute and Norton Sub Hamdon Parish Councils.
