We aim to organise community and family sessions at Ham Hill focusing on mental health and physical wellbeing, especially to aid the community in the recovery of Covid-19. People are finding these times very challenging, particularly those with mental health issues and pre-existing health conditions. We will need to rebuild the health and wellbeing of our local community. Wellbeing sessions such as these will support people in their recovery. There is much evidence to show that a connection with nature aids wellbeing.
The project would fund a Community Heritage Officer to deliver Woodland Wellbeing sessions at Ham Hill for a community group (such as MIND) and transport to the site.
Funding is being sought though the Co-op local cause scheme.
This project is planned for 2021.
